Herbal consultations are a combination of conversation and pulse techniques to determine remedies specific to an individual, using a variety of self crafted herbal remedies from local plant varieties.
The best results are achieved through personalized protocols based on individual circumstances, health history, and specific indications. Each person is unique and herbal remedies, dosage, and service periods will vary. Average length of remedy protocols is about 3 months consistently using recommended herbs under dosage guidelines with 1 to 2 follow up consultations. For remedy forms a mixture of commercial and self-prepared tinctures (liquid herbal extractions), flower essences, and herbal oils/salves are used.
Herbs have great potential to be beneficial in dealing with a variety of issues including:
- Anxiety & Stress
- Sleep Disturbance
- Body Pain (Muscle, Nerve, Bone and Joint)
- Skin Conditions
- High/Low Blood Pressure
- Digestion/Assimilation of Nutrients
- Compromised Immune Function
- Reproductive and Sexual Health (Fertility, Libido)
- Low Energy/Fatigue
- Basic First Aid (Cuts, Burns, Bruises)
The approach will differ with each person and each situation. Clients may find that imbalances in one area of the body are directly connected to other seemingly unrelated issues. When balance is restored to an area needing support, this can result in relief and resolution elsewhere, as our body systems work together in close relationship as a complete whole.
New Client Consultation $90 Total Including Herbal Remedies
- Initial phone call visit (Approximately 60 minutes)
- In person house call visit scheduled shortly after phone call – Approximately 60-90 minutes
The first consultation consists of two parts – first an extensive phone conversation to determine which remedies may be appropriate for the situation. Any and all health history and experiences are relevant and are important as clues in linking a person to their remedies. A client should be prepared to talk in detail about personal physical and emotional health conditions and health history.
Second we will schedule a time for a visit at the clients home. A selection of pertinent remedies is gathered and the tinctures are tested on the skin and evaluated through a pulse testing method. Selections are narrowed down based on individual pulse response and a precise herbal formula is decided. Clients will take away herbal remedies and guidelines for dosage immediately following this visit.
There is no standard certification or licensing for herbalists and many other types of alternative health care practitioners. For first time consultations, please review, print, and sign a copy of my service agreement which is required by law under a Consumer Rights Bill for legal practice of complementary and alternative health care in the state of Minnesota.
Follow Up Consultations $45 Total Including Herbal Remedies
- Phone or email check-in if necessary
- House call visit – Approximately 30-45 minutes
As a person begins their remedies and shifts begin to happen within the body, most people will need a follow up for dosage and formula adjustments, usually around 4 weeks after initial consult and 3 to 5 week increments thereafter. Remedies will be re-tested again using a pulse testing method and remedies will be re-filled.
New Issue Consultation (for existing clients) $75
- Initial phone call visit (Approximately 30-45 minutes)
- In person house call visit scheduled shortly after phone call – Approximately 60 minutes
A more extensive follow up consultation with existing clients that addresses new or different health issues and development of a new herbal protocol.

All fees are payable at time of service. Payment can be made by cash, check, or credit card (all major cards accepted). Consults take place in a home office in a building with stairs and cats. Accommodations can be made for people who cannot climb stairs or have pet allergies. A 24 hour notice is required for a change or cancellation of appointment. A fee of $25 is charged for a missed appointment or lack of 24 hour notice. I do not accept Medicare, Medical Assistance, or any type of insurance coverage. Reduced fees and payment plans under certain circumstances may be considered at my own discretion and under separate agreement with clients.
